The free Amethyst plan needs no credit card and gives you 100 coins, access to every tool, and humanizing in passes of up to 250 words (English only). - [How do I reset my password?](https://ryne.ai/help): Go to ryne.ai/reset-password, enter your email and follow the link we send you. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If you signed up with Google, there's no password to reset: just click "Continue with Google" on the sign in page.
- [Is there a mobile app or browser extension?](https://ryne.ai/help): The web app works well on phones and tablets, so there's no separate mobile app yet. On desktop, the Ryne Chrome extension lets you humanize text directly inside any website without opening Ryne.
- [Can I earn money by referring people to Ryne?](https://ryne.ai/help): Yes. The affiliate program pays a 20% commission on every purchase made by someone who signed up through your link. There's also a creator program for video content about Ryne, with payouts based on views. Both are explained on the earn page.
- [Do you have an API?](https://ryne.ai/help): Yes, the Humanizer is available over a REST API. Create an API key and buy API credits from the developer docs. API credits are separate from your plan's coins, start at $5, and one dollar covers roughly 12,500 humanized words.
- [What are coins, and how are they spent?](https://ryne.ai/help): Coins are the single currency for every tool. Each request spends coins in proportion to how much work it does: the Humanizer costs 0.2 coins per word (so 100 coins humanizes about 500 words), while Chat, essays and Lecture Lab depend on the length of the input and the model used. Your current balance is shown in the header and on the account page.
- [What's the difference between the plans?](https://ryne.ai/help): Amethyst (free) gives 100 coins, English only and 250 words per humanizer pass. Sapphire adds 10,000 coins a month, all languages, 750 words per pass and one AI Report a month. Emerald has unlimited coins, 1,500 words per pass, three AI Reports a month and the Pro humanizing algorithm. Ruby removes the limits entirely, with unlimited humanization and AI Reports, priority support, a priority queue and higher rate limits. Yearly billing is noticeably cheaper than monthly. - [Do unused coins expire?](https://ryne.ai/help): Not while you're subscribed. Any coins left at the end of a billing period roll over into the next one, so you never lose what you paid for. They expire only if your subscription lapses and isn't renewed.
- [Does “unlimited” really mean unlimited?](https://ryne.ai/help): For normal studying, yes. Emerald and Ruby have no coin balance to run down. To stop automated abuse, there are generous daily fair-use caps that a person working through essays and lectures won't reach. If you do hit one, it resets the next day, and Ruby's caps are the highest.
- [Can I buy extra coins or AI Reports without upgrading?](https://ryne.ai/help): Yes. Sapphire members can top up coins from the account page or the "Topup coins" entry in the account menu, with a minimum of 1,000 coins per purchase. Extra AI Reports can be bought the same way on any paid plan. Top-ups are one-off payments and don't change your subscription.
- [How do I upgrade, downgrade or change my payment method?](https://ryne.ai/help): To upgrade, pick a plan on the pricing page and the switch happens immediately. For everything else, open the account page and click "Open Stripe billing portal": there you can change your card, switch between monthly and yearly, move to a lower plan and download invoices.
- [How do I cancel or pause my subscription?](https://ryne.ai/help): Open the account page and click "Cancel Subscription". You keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and nothing renews after that. If you just need a break, exams are over for example, you can pause instead of cancelling for up to 3 months and keep your coins.
- [What is your refund policy?](https://ryne.ai/help): We refund a purchase if you ask within 3 days, have used fewer than 500 coins, and have used at most one AI Report. A 30% processing fee applies. To request one, message us on live chat or email support@ryne.ai from the address on your account. The full wording is in section 5 of the terms.
- [Do you offer student or educational discounts?](https://ryne.ai/help): Not as a standing discount, since almost everyone using Ryne is a student. Yearly billing is the biggest saving, and we run promotions from time to time on the pricing page. If you're buying for a whole class or institution, message us and we'll work something out.
